Clarkson Contracting’s story began in 1983 when Stan Clarkson founded the company as a small but hardworking landscaping, snow removal, excavating and logging business serving the Elkford area. After Stan’s tragic passing in a mining accident in 1996, the business closed for several years.  

In 2005 twin brothers Tate and Daks Clarkson revived Clarkson Contracting, reshaping it into a trusted mine services provider known for reliability, safety, and strong community values. As the company continued to grow and evolve, Tate later became the sole owner.

In 2023 Sheena Fulton, a retired RCMP officer with a background in leadership, community service, and operational management joined the company.  Today, Clarkson Contracting Ltd. is proudly owned and operated by Tate and Sheena Clarkson, carrying forward the legacy of family, integrity, and service that has guided the Clarkson name for over four decades.
